Dear Teams and Fans:

Re: Final Decision

Thank you for your interest in the 2010 Northern First Nations Hockey Tournament scheduled for March 15 – 21, 2010.

I received 36 Teams who paid full entry fee on February 25, 2010. All 36 Teams will be accepted and allowed to play in the NFNHT 2010.

Several options were reviewed in order to accommodate everyone’s needs i.e. the four teams on standby, Sioux Flyer game, opening ceremonies, avoiding games beyond midnight, and ensuring enough time for Zamboni, etc.

Please be notified that NFNHT may have to adjust the game times where each team would be required to be on time. Or if I can secure some ice-time in Eagle Lake or Dryden for 9 games, the teams may have to travel to Eagle or Dryden on Wednesday. The games would be played concurrent that day.

Also be reminded of the following:

Inappropriate Use of Website

1. The Committee has a right and discretion to remove any inappropriate comments and personal attack on individuals and/or teams on the website.
2. The Committee will take action to delete the comment section from the website if they note continued misuse or they become aware of inappropriate use of the website.

Verbal Abuse or Violent Behaviour in the Arena

1. Verbal abuse or any kind of violent behavior from any fan or player(s) will not be tolerated during NFNHT 2010. Depending on the circumstance, the police will be called and the individual may be banned from entering the premises for the duration of the tournament.
